Kelly Freitas played field hockey at Manchester Memorial High School where she helped lead her team to their first ever state championship appearance. She went on to play D1 at Umass Lowell as a midfielder and garnered multiple academic and athletic awards including two-time Laurie A. Mann award recipient for academic and athletic excellence, the 2016 Chancellor’s Medal for Student Service, and then capped off her senior year by winning the 2016 America East Woman of the Year Award.
