Amy McKenney is in her second season coaching for Seacoast Field Hockey.

McKenney spent 7 years as an assistant coach for the Plymouth State University field hockey program from 2009-2015. Before that she coached the JV field hockey team at Plymouth Regional High School for 3 years. Most recently she created and is coaching a youth program in Plymouth, NH called Thundercats Field Hockey for girls in grades K-8.

A 2005 graduate of Merrimack College, Amy captained the Warriors, and led her team to their first NE-10 DII playoff berth in her final season.  She was an NFHCA Division II North/South Senior All Star Team selection that same year.

McKenney grew up in Plymouth, N.H., and attended Plymouth Regional High School, where she lettered in Field hockey (Captain), Nordic Skiing, and Track and Field and was the recipient of the Women’s Athletic/Academic Award her senior year. She was selected to the 2001 NH/VT Twin State Field Hockey Game, and had the opportunity to play at the National Festival in 1999 and 2000 for the Northern Lights team.

Coach McKenney received her Masters in Education from Plymouth State University in 2009.  She’s been teaching high school Mathematics for sixteen years and is currently teaching at the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School (VLACS). Amy has two daughters, Serena and Sylvie and a husband, David.
